FROM CREATING DECORATIVE OBJECTS TO BUILDING ARTISTIC UNIQUE PIECES, THE STUDIO IS A PLAYGROUND FOR CREATIVE MINDS.
At Porcelaine Moderne, handbuilding is more than a technique — it is a design approach that combines material experimentation, functional intent, and formal precision. From artistic collaborations to large-scale B2B productions, the studio explores ceramic as both a medium for expression and a tool for industrial dialogue.
Each object is developed through a hands-on process that values scale, surface, rhythm, and clarity.
Between product design, collectible editions, and bespoke commissions, the studio offers a flexible structure suited to creative partnerships across sectors — from tableware to spatial design and meaningful objects for contemporary interior

PLATE WALKING TO THE MOON
CAROLINE GAZEL – DESIGNER AND FOUNDER OF PORCELAINE MODERNE
Trained in interior architecture and product design at the Paris American Academy of Arts, she has developed over several years an approach to design rooted in the art of living and functionality.
Her work revolves around natural materials, with particular attention given to ceramics, which she considers an ideal creative medium: a material that allows a swift transition from idea to object, offering a high degree of production autonomy.
In 2020, she founded Porcelaine Moderne, a studio bringing together a manufacturing workshop, a research space and a setting for presenting collections. There, she designs everyday objects with refined lines, conceived to accompany simple gestures and to form part of a broader reflection on rhythm, care and our relationship with objects.
Her practice places strong emphasis on symbolism, use and the seasonality of collections.
